Sister Nelson is wearing a particularly elaborate outfit: a patterned dress featuring layered tier detailing on the skirt over a delicate lace under-skirt or slip, paired with Oxford-style lace-up shoes.

Mary Pulley sports a floral apron-style overlay/house dress with flutter sleeves, a pleated skirt hem, and classic low-heeled pumps, giving a very practical, domestic contrast to the formal suits.

The elders are impeccably dressed in typical early-1930s attire. Note the high-waisted trousers, prominent tie knots with pin-collar/tab-collar shirts, patterned neckties, and pocket squares. Notice the gentleman on the front left wearing a full three-piece suit with a vest (waistcoat) buttoned up—a classic menswear look of the era.

The finger-wave Marcel waves on the sisters and the slicked-back, neatly parted hair on all the elders scream early 1930s precision styling.
