This clipping from the New Bedford Times documents a local district conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) held in New Bedford, Massachusetts, in mid-1931.

The image appears to be on the steps of the newly dedicated chapel mentioned in a previous article.

The building still stands. The siding is different, but the picture shown below is in the entryway of the chapel. Click here to see those same steps, with the brick sides, as they exist today. The building is currently home to the Church of God of Prophecy.

Moyle, president of the Eastern States Mission; Miss Louise Johnson, missionary and Miss H. Henriques, member. Row two: Elder Call, Elder Frank B. Leishman and Elder Stephens. Row three: Miss Clara Haworth, Elder Hall, Mrs. Roberts and LuRae Buckwalter.
