Missionary Letter

Dear Editor:

This is to thank you for sending me the home paper and inform you as to my change of address.

If you have ever been away from home for any length of time you can appreciate how valuable a little news from home is. It seems to me that reading the Star Valley Independent takes me back there closer each week. Its getting better every issue.

Previous to this time I have spent about fourteen months in New England, in and around Boston principally It was a very pleasurable field of labor in which to work, although its principal population is made up of Catholic people who are quite hard to work with. They are about as set in their religious views as are the Latter Day Saints. New England is especially interesting because of its historical background. In and around Boston has occured many of the most interesting transactions in the birth of our nation.

My work here in the Blue Ridge Conference takes me all over the central part of Pennsylvania and northern part of Maryland along with a small portion of West Virginia.. I am thrilled with this work and can say with all sincerity that there is no greater service on earth. I'll probably be here another eight or nine months.
