Latter Day Saints Will Hold Day’s Conference In Church At Fairview

Beginning at 10:30 o’clock Sunday morning, May 14, a conference will be held in the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints at Fairview. Elder Evan P. Call, president of the Blue Ridge district, will conduct the conference.

The chief speaker at the session will be President James H. Moyle, of the Eastern States Mission, located in New York city.

President Moyle’s home is in Salt Lake City and he has been doing church work his entire life. He is a prominent lawyer in both Salt Lake City and New York city and is one of the distinguished leaders of the Latter Day church.

The work of this church is carried on by layman members and there are no paid ministers. There are now over two thousand missionaries of the church who pay their own expenses.

Other missionaries who will speak are Elder Clifford J. Peterson, Elder J. Linden Mather, Edna Mae Colman and Erma N. Peterson.

A quartette consisting of Edna M. Colman, Erma N. Peterson, Clifford J. Peterson and Evan P. Call will sing several special numbers during the session. Several duets will also be sung by Erma Peterson and Elder C. J. Peterson.

At three o’clock in the afternoon the missionaries of the Blue Ridge district will hold a session with President Moyle addressing them.
